Many things happened in SG and I am not there!!!
TT is how I felt when I came back
TT just show how insignificant we are in this big world
But at least I still have the concerns of everyone

16th June
Today mum, sis and I woke up super early to go Zoo
Last minute shopping!!
I think it is much better to go in the morning
and on a saturday
they have new stocks then
and the prices are lower

Anyway we are sooo dead
We bought too much stuff and the packing takes a while
We have got like 9 luggages

17th June
Okay since u all know I got 9 luggages, can guess what happened
Overweight by quite a LOT
Had quite a safe flight home and I am thankful to be home
HOME SWEET HOME

2 more days!!!!

14th June
Today is a work day
I finally finished all the reports given to me
Miranda was very nice
She helped me to edit my essay!!

Anyway i took half day off
I rushed off at 12 on the dot and went to close my account
Then I met my mum and sis at Century Mart, another US supermart
Bought stuff for dad..

ANyway went home and had lunch with them and Siew ling
Mum said smthg that I found realli funnY!
She said that on Dragon Boat festival （端午节）, if u bathe from 11am to 12pm, you will 开缘。
Is that like real??
hahaha
anyway for those girls/guys out there who are still single, go bathe on TUESDAY 19th Jun!!
heehee

After that we went to Wan tong (万通）wholesale market at Fu Cheng men阜成门
Many things there.. except clothes and shoes
I bought stationaries, clothes, earrings, and many more
YAhoooo and it is cheap

Then on the way home, we had smelly tofu, jian bing, etc
HAHA
I m so happie today...
but alas, they days of happiness are short

15th June
Today is the last day of work
Yahoooo
I am soo Happie

For lunch, our boss/partner treated us
He was not there but Jane, Terry Rebecca, Miranda, Siew Ling and I had yummy food
We went to one of the more famous restaurant and the food was quite good!
We ordered like almost 8 dishes and there was this particular one tt is quite good
It is a fish dish and there are like vege, and smthg like prata..
Yummy

Work was quite relaxing today
Nothing much to do
Dinner was supposed to be with Yee Ting and Jess since they are leacving
but since everyone stayed there and my mum and sis at home I left
sobsob thought i can see them one last time
But i guess i can see them in sg!!

A few more days and it is home for me.....

I am very excited
A few more days and I am going back to SIngapore soon!!
Plus it is Norway for me...
Well these few days I dun realli have anything to do as I am actually rushing my essay
I got to do 2 essays in MANDARIN (2000 words each) for NTU
and I finally FINISHED IT!!!
It is last minute work I guess since I was supposed to do it earlier on
Anyway read on for updates

10th June
Woke up late today since we were so tired.
In the morning, I rushed to do my essay and I kind of regret not doing it earlier on
Well my fault

I brought mum and sis to eat PEking duck today at Da Dong
It was realli better than QUan Ju de
The rest of the gang and Nat will be gg at night
Mum thought it will be weird if we went tgt

We also had some vege and gong bao ji ding
It was not that fantastic but Nat said the dishes there are good
Guess we ordered different things
Nat also said quan ju de is good but then the one we went at he Ping Men was not good
I guess u need to go to Wang Fu Jing Quan JU de

After the meal, we got fruit platter
and I thick skin go ask the supervisor got desset or not?
hahaha.. act the other time we went we got very nice dessert
She said there is none left already and I was quite sad
But in the end, she got some from dunno where
I think the service here is sooo good!!!
Even better than SG service

Anyway went walmart today
Mum was excited.. she is housewife true and true
heehee
I bought some local food to bring back to SG!!
of course for u all back in sg
Mum saw many things and wanted to buy this and tt...
HAHAHA Plus the things here are reali cheaper
I guess I got my shopping gene from her!!!
HAHAHA

11th JUne
Today was supposed to bring my mum to Great wall and she said she was TIRED!!
Her leg pain and she dun want to go
BUT she can still go zoo to shop

ANyway I stayed home in the end to do my essay since I already took leave
I managed to finish one of my essay today !! ")
Well mum bought many things..
Shoes, jeans and more jeans

12th June
Today was work day and I had to do many reports for my supervisor
There were like 5 companies!!!
anw i did some of my work and managed to do half the essay.. heehee
It was my colleague's Jannet last day and she gave me earrings
I soo pai seh.. din get her anything
Anw she was realli nice and I will realli miss her

At nite, Lee choon, SHi ting, Siew ling and I had Italian food ....
mum and sis came along
It was quite cosy and nice
I will realli miss everyone when we go back SG!!

13th June
I finally finished my essay today!!!
I am sooo happie.. heehee

Today for lunch, Lee Choon, mum and Grace joined me and siew ling
They came all the way to eat with us

ANyway ordered the same few dished again but I guess it feels different eating with a new group of ppl
It was kind of fUN!!!

I Finally finished both my essay today!

I m super excited
Dong our hero of the day left Beijing today
sooo sad... Next will be Andre, Yeeting, Jess and then ME!!!

6th July
Today after work, I rushed home and had dinner
Shi Ting cooked bak kut teh.. Yum
Then I took the shuttle bus to the Airport
The journey was quite fast and I slept...
Since I reached at 9.45 and they reached onli at 11(!!!)
I went to Starbucks to drink ICE CHOCOLATE!!
Haven't had the time to sit and chill
And I managed to read books too....

Anyway I was shocked to see Grace...
Her hair is sooo short now
in the end, we took taxi back to my home
We slept like a log when we reached home..

7th July
This morning, brought my mum out to Jing Shan, Forbidden city and Tian an men
Jing Shan was quite nice though I guess it was not that fantastic..
The view was good and we had a good time strolling and talking

Forbidden city and Tian an men was different in summer
(i went in winter)
It was a hot and sunny day and I was sweating like mad
Mum was complaining of the heat and wanted to leave earlier
In the end we left at like 1pm which is super fast!!!

Went to the Jap rest to eat and I had fried rice while they ate curry
It was not bad though a bit ex
Nearly spend about 100 for like 3 ppl

After that, we went to xi dan
My mum was so excited that it is shopping time
Went to Ming zhu to buy stuff
I din realli got anything there but I got some CDs from Beijing bookstore
Got my dad's Cds and books too
The CDs here are seriously cheap
I bought one for like 20 RMB and it is original
That sums up to like 4 SGD for a cd??
hehe I lurve shopping here

8th July
This morning brought my mum to Zoo
Not the animal zoo but the wholesale market
haha.. my mum was super excited

Anyway we walked from like 10 to 6plus
I was sooo tired..
MY mum bought a lot of things and I got like 2 shoes!!!
bought a silk shirt too ...cheap
KEL: we got u a blazer... a cheap one onli... heehee
Grace got a few things too.. hehe
We are truly shopping queen and princesses

Anyway after zoo, we went to eat at the place near our house
Got fish, ziao ji and vege
As usual my mum and sis was shocked at the amount of oil in the fish (we ordered 水煮鱼）
Well for those who don't know, the fish is cooked in a pot of oil..
it is oily yet yummy
Good food is always bad i guess... hehe

9th July
Today, Nat joined us and we went to Summer palace
This is my first time there since I missed it the other time I went Shanghai
Anyway It was realli beautiful
The view was very spectacular
It seems more cooling there and there were supposedly to be 99 rooms
We walked and walked till I feel like fainting..
We were there for like 5 hrs and we still have not finish walking
There are like temples, shop, gardens, etc
There is even a opera house there...

ANyway after covering almost 70%, we decided to leave
I actually wanted to continue but I guess at 3 pm, everyone is tired and hungry
We went to Wu Dao KOu and had lunch at the porridge place
As usual, It was good food
I lurve the porridge there
We also had some small dishes... Yummmy

Next on we proceed to Wu dao kou market to SHOP!!!
Actually I was very guai... I din buy anything..
Din see anything I like and I wasn't in the mood

These few days I was in a bad mood as I still haven't gotten my visa yet!!!
But in the end, my dad called them and told me I got the visa
Sooo my mood got better and that helps coz the next stop we went is WAng fu jing

We went to shop for clothes and also ate bing tang hu lu
Yummmm

SOme nice, some not so nice
BUT this trip has made me learnt a lot of stuff

2nd June
Today is the last day of school!!
The walk to school seems different and
We strolled to school while thinking back of all the things we have done in school.
We had to do a presentation in school
It was graded and it was quite scary as we had to speak in MANDARIN!!!
My first presentation in Mandarin!!
My group consists of Shi Ting, Siew Ling, PK and me

WHen we reached, we hurry finished the presentation
The topic we did is Beijing 101 Guide
It is quite fun as we find stuff that we have learnt here
BUT other people's presentation was also very good and It was scary
They have many research while my groups was based on our experiences

Anyway a disaster happened during lunch
I went to the salon for treatment while Siew Ling and Shi ting did their own stuff
Then Siew Ling came down to tell me PK had a car accident
Fortunately he is fine though his lenses spoilt!!
To a photographer, his lenses are very impt and I was sad for PK
Anyway, he had to go to the police station
In the end, he didn't come and the 3 of us presented our own parts.

After the presentation, we had a closing ceremony
We each received a cert proving that we study in Tsinghua
It wasn't much but I was really happy
It was like a graduating ceremony that day! heehee
After that, everyone started to take picture with each other
Kind of like there is no more tm
hahaha

We went down to the minimart in the end to get TSingHUa SHIRT!!
Since we are here, must get smthg to rem tsinghua by right?
heehee
I got a white shirt with Tsinghua logo and motto
I went to get my new specs after that
It looked nice on me too!!
Yee ting, SHi ting and I each got out specs and we looked kind of cooL!!

We had our last meal at Wu Dao Kou at the porridge place
Yummmy
It is very nice and we had a great time

After that we went hou hai to chill out!!
It was nice as we managed to explore the other side of hou hai
Not the Lotus Blue side
This side is more of a chill out place and there are many pubs
There are singers on guitars and it has a very relaxed atmosphere.
We sat there till about 2 plus
Our housemates excluding Eli (she went to her colleagues place) went to eat BBQ!!
We had BBQ chicken, etc
Hahaha
Nice food!! at 2 AM it is sinful food but NICE

3rd June
Today is the day of our last gathering so called
Coz nxt week some ppl will be going Chang Bai Shan （长白山）
while my mum and sis will be here for hols!!!
Quite exciting.. wanted to go with the rest too
but i guest I can always go another time

Anyway the whole morning was spend sleeping
I was dead tired and it was only at 11 plus that i woke up
After that, ELi, Shi ting, Siew Ling and I had lunch tgt
I was realli happie as we went to the nice restaurant
And the lunch was FUN!
We talked about how we will be like with out BF!!
HAHA of course Eli the relationship guru told us how we will be like
COntent: SECRET!! heehee

The whole afternoon was spend writing cards for people
We all wrote cards for each other and had an exchange
It was fUN!
I was quite sad though as there is this guy who wrote smthg bad to me
I was nice to him but i guess he didn't appreciate it
And I don;t understand why he want to write that to me
Oh well watever..

WE had pizza and beer and it was fun
SOme of them even played silent library and it was CRAZY!!!
They had a part where they got to pull Luo Ren ( our monitor)'s nose hair
and The catch is: Nobody can laugh or speak
So everyone is red and trying to contain their laughter

I want to take this chance to Thank all my housemates!!
Thank you for always being there for me!
I lurve u all

Also for Yee ting and Jess: U all are always there to lend me a listening ear!
I lurve u all (i won;t ever forget the kiss) haha

Bad Weather+Bad boss=Bad Mood

Today is a rainy day!!
Sooo sad...
The sky is grey, it is raining cats and dogs
and I am stuck in office with NOTHING to do
In the end, i read news, check mails etc

There is however one big booboo
Siew Ling and my boss is this Malaysian who is by the way the worst boss ever
Everytime there is an interview, he made that person wait sooo LONG
There is a guy who came for an interview
He waited for half an hr and he thought since nobody cared, he left
The HR Manager (another bad boss) called him and asked him to come back
even "scolding" him what makes him leave
In the end when he came back, he waited again
Even after i left, he is still waiting!!!

The worst thing is he don't let my colleague reimburse on office expenses!!!
My friend went to Carrefour to buy coffee and tea for the company
The system work like this in China.
If you want an official receipt for the company (fa piao) for tax purposes,
you got to give the Carrefour receipt to exchange
So my friend got the fa piao and went back
She was told to wrote down what she bought so fine she wrote
Then the HR manager said no, tt is not enuff
So she had to rewrite, stating how many packets, how many grams, how much etc
BUT obviously she can't rem!!!
In the end, when she was not in the office, she called the admin to call CArrefour
She wanted Carrefour to fax over the receipt!!!
WHAT A JOKE! Carrefour is a big company for goodness sake
*I nearly fainted*
Then in the end, the admin got to ask the staff to tell her the individual prices

Sorry for blabbering but I am seriously sick of working here!!!
My boss is soooo stingy!!
Last time Siew Ling took taxi, she did not get the money yet!!!

My boss even asked Singapore Student Association in Beijing to help him publicise
FOR EMPLOYEE!!!

Anw after work, went home to the Italian restaurant near our house
Sandy, Lee Choon, Shi Ting, Siew Ling and I went to eat..
Very nice!!!
Lee Choon and I shared a set
78 RMB for a pizza, vege salad, sausage and potato with drinks too!!
Very generous portion
I totally enjoyed my dinner
It was very nice... YummY!!
After dinner, we sat there and talked for quite a long time
It was very fun
I totally enjoyed dinner

After dinner entertainment was equally enjoyable
We played MahjonG till 2am

Bryan's farewell ! & LeeChoon&Sandy's adventure

Today is Bryan's farewelL!!
HE had been very nice to us
He even woke up around 6 in the morning to buy breakfast for us!!!
Plus he treated us to Peking duck and mop the floor!
He is ONE NICE GUY

Anyway Eli and DT cooked today
They made pasta, fried rice, jiaozi, salad
IT was very nice and there was even dessert
Honeydew ice cream: our favourite now.. it is yummy

Anyway after food, some of us played mahjong..
while Bryan Mr nice guy went to make Sticky rice
He knows how to cook toO!!
heehee
anyway the sticky rice turned out too salty
hahaha

At around 12 am we decided to go KTV..
Bryan wanted to sing on his last nite
Shiting, Sandy(LeeChoon's HK friend), Bryan and I went off
He took turn to piggyback them
BUT he asked me to sit on his shoulders and he will carry me
Ok the thing is he is like 1.86m!!!
In the end he carried me and I must say:
The air up there is really much fresher
The view is not bad too
Anyway he was like swaying me around and I nearly died!!

The DiSAster happened when he was putting me down
He thought that I already stepped on the pavement and he let go
GUESS wat?
I did a flip over his head and I went headdown!!
I was in Shock and everyone was in shock
Bryan was trying to hold any parts he can grab and It was a funny sight!!
In the end, I manage to twist my body and I landed on my body
I sprained my waist though
ANyway thinking bout it makes me wana laugh.. heehee

Back to the KTV
The place has not switched on the aircon and it was HOT!
Everyone was soo sleepy and in the end we end at 2am
Last day we see Bryan and we are all tired..

Now I want to tell you about Lee Choon's adventure to the Great Wall
Anyway both of them went to Mu tian yu, another section of the Great wall
Lee Choon din realli check and she flagged down a taxi halfway
The thing is the further it goes, the faster the meter jump
Soon it was 300 RMB! and the driver dun noe his way too!!
To cut the story short, Lee Choon dun want to pay him and they jumped out of the taxi
WHILE it is moving!!
Sandy scrapped her butt while Lee Choon had a big injury on her hand
Poor gal

Well today was really quite an adventure for everyone

This few days have been busy busy busy
Many things happened recently
We had lots of fun at Happy Valley, the amusement park in Beijing
plus had food, etc
However the bad part is I am looking older older each day
heehee
another bad news: my supervisor, director is leaving the company!!
Read on to find out more

24th May
Today is a day to CHiLL
After work, I rushed to meet Shi ting and Nat for dinner
We went to this Korean restaurant and had Korean food
SHi ting and I had Kimchi soup while Nat ate BimBim Bap
It was YUMMY!!!

After the delicious dinner, we r off toHou Hai (后海）
It is something like Boat Quay
There are clubs, pubs, restaurant along the shore
It is very beautiful at night and the lighting is good
The place that we went is called Lotus Blue
We went upstairs and the minimum amount to spend was 400RMB for the couches
It was FUn and the view was nice

There was another club called Sex and the City
They had pole dancer but they weren;t tt good
Though many people were curious and watched..

Anw I had a drink called Lotus Blue Iced Tea
It had gin, vodka, tequilla and rum !!
It wasn't tt nice
After that I even drank some beer
The thing is we played games and it was a drinking game kind of like truth or dare
except we are playing the truth part only
I merlion out on the way out!!!
I think the drink was too strong and I puke out all the kimchi and stuff
The first time I PUKE after drinking!!! arghhhh
Even after I reached home, I puke too!!
TErrible!!

Lesson learnt: never mix too many alcohols together

25th May
Today there was school for the whole day
The lessons were allright
We had Bravo, Italian food for lunch

After school, we went to wu dao kou to make specs
The specs here are much cheaper and I was happy with mine
It was nice.. I liked Shi ting's specs too
The frame looks sooo cool!!
Anyway it din suit me and I got the other one instead

After that, we went to eat dim sum and smelly dofu at yeeting and jess' place
The smelly tofu was GOOD!
It was very spicy and I luv it
Bryan was turned off just after one and in the end, the 7 gals had to finish 8 plates of it
The dim sum was allright.. I was disappointed.. no char siew tart!!
The char siew tart here is the best!!!

After food, we went KTv
The KTV near there got AIRCON!!
The one opposite out house sooo HOT!! no aircon..
Anyway we sang a LOT and it was cheap
KTV here is soo cheap
I am soo going to miss it when I go back
Anyway I must say:
Bryan voice very very nice!!
Sometimes too soft but gOOD!!
The best singer among the guys here... hahaha

26th May
This morning we had to rush to school
The lesson today is on how to set up business in CHina
and an official is giving us the lesson
When I enter the room, I was shocked!
I thought the official will be a man but no.. it was a lady!

Anyway today lesson is pretty interesting
Although it is very theory-based, it was good as we learnt about the facts and stuff
The official was interesting too and it wasn't boring

After sch , I went for hair treatment at the salon downstairs
Jessica, Cecilia and I shared a package and we each paid about 75RMB for 3 times
QUite cheap rite?

Went zoo after that
Wanted to buy a sneaker to wear but then din see anything I like
In the end, I only got two tops and 2 bangles
Self-control!! heehee

Shi ting, Siew Ling and I had dinner at home
Lee Choon brought home some leftover food from XianJiang restaurant
Not bad with distinct flavour
Since all of us were at home, we had a good time chilling
THe conversation topic were risque.. (secret)
But it was a fun time and there was much laughter..

27th May
TOday LeeChoon, Siew Ling, Shi ting, Bryan and I went to Happy Valley
We are supposed to meet Natalie and David too at the amusement park
The place was HUGE
The first thing you reached: people asking you to buy ticket
It is like black market.. but the ticket is cheaper
I got mine for 130 student price, 10 bucks cheaper..

Anyway some of the rides was scary while some fuN
I guess I have a weak heart..
On this particular ride, my heart actually stopped beating!!
ANd i thought i got asthma attack again!
I got tummy ache tt day and after this ride, i wanted to puke and shit
in the end, din take this other ride that is much faster and the tower

anw after i m better, went to the ghost house, trojan horse and water ride
I Totally LURVE the water ride
din buy the raincoat and I got wet thoroughly
but it was fun!!
I lost my voice due to my constant screaming

28th May
today went to eat quan ju de roast duck!!!
We went to the branch at He Ping Men..
I was expecting good duck since it is the famous duck place
And one of the oldest in Beijing

BUT it wasn't tt good
The duck was very fatty
The skin is not crispy enough
The meat was hard
The skin was hard too!
I was not really happy with the duck
However we had this mushroom soup and it was Delicious!!

Mr Bryan decided to treat us!!
We din want coz it was too expensive but he insisted..
After dinner, we walked to TIan An Men
It was quite nice at night
There were kites, light etc
NIce...

I m in lurve.. with Oguri Shun
I was watching Meteor Garden II (Jap version) last night and I lurve HIM!!!
hahaha well i guess he was realli good and he is soo cute!!
In the show, he was very nice to Makino after Domyoji left her..
He was with her by her bedside when she fainted
paid for her medical fee and all
*wah* I guess i am fantacizing..
It's just a drama serial but watever
hahaha

Anyway the Jap version is closer to the manga
and although the guys are not exactly tt good looking, it is much better
The actors are better in acting
The school is nicer, the houses nicer, the branded goods are realli much better...

I have no work to do again
Well I am realli bored.. On the other hand, it gives me time to read articles and news..

Anyway i read an articles on how actors are banking in for wearing the Fat suit
I do have some thought about it
Personally I have watched the movie 200 pounds of beauty
It is a funny show but I guess if u look from another perspective,
it just show how looks are everything, the "IT" factor

Just look at Singapore Idol, American Idol, etc
It proves to you that beauty is the thing tt takes u to the top
A recording company executive in an interview said that now singers have to be sexy, slim, pretty... Talent in optional..
Well another one is money i supossed...

This is just my views so i hope i dun offend anyone
Nowadays beauty is so important females go under the knife, starve themselves...
WAKE UP GALS!!!
Beauty aren't everything
One day you will be old and all the wrinkles will be out
Dun change anything just because someone said you are fat, ugly or wat
If a guy said that to you, then he is not WORTH IT!!!

18th May
Went to school today
Soo tiring since i slept at like 2am
It was quite an interesting lesson today
Anyway went to Capitaland China today
The building is called Capital Tower and it was quite big
Very nice place though a tad too similar to Singapore
They brought us the the service apartment and I was like WOW
it was realli nice
I wonder when i can stay there man
hahaha

After that, we went to xidan to eat

Ate till very full
and after tt, went KTV
Brian sang and it was like WOW.. he is realli good
we even play bridge and taitee there
In the end, i left at 3 plus am
I went to bed after bathing.. i was tt tired...

19th May
nearly couldn't wake up today
Went to sch and it was a full day ...
Nothing much interesting happened today
But i went to eat at this Pizza place opened by expats
It was GOOD
the pizza was HUGE when i say HUGE it was realli HUGe
i had two slices and i was ready to puke.. hehe
had fun with everyone as we talk and joke around

But when we come home, I saw an email Andre send
The contents I am not going to say but I am realli tired
I dun realli want to care bout the things they are doing anymore
and Shi ting kind of teared
Brian was there too and i think he felt awkward..
Sigh why do things hav to happen??
I am seriously emotionally drained..
God. I need you!!
Please pray for me: I think I realli need the strength to go on..

20th May
Woke up late at 2pm!!!
Was supposed to go to the church but i guess I will listen to sermons
I am still very tired today..
but Anyway had dinner (水煮鱼), etc
My housemates, PK, Yeeting, Brian and Natalie(sg friend) were there
It was reali nice as everyone joke around
It was a nice meal with good food and good companions

After food, we played chapteh..(I think a NTU chapteh club is neede)
It was hilarious.. i am bad in this
I realli had fun today ..

today was a terrible day!!
There is a sand storm in BEIJING!!

I didn't know about it and wore shortsleeve shirt out
the wind was howling and blowing and ....
the sand went into my mouth, hair, pockets, everywhere!!!
Terrible!!!

Anyway my boss is back today..
Sianz... now the whole atmosphere of the office will change
everyone won't dare to talk

Anyway just found out NTU offers KOrean!!!!

A bomb just dropped today!!!
My supervisor informed us that Tina, one of the accountant has quit!
I was told to do most of the things she did
ARGHH

On one hand, it will be good experience learning how to register for tax etc, doing report
However I think I am becoming cheap labour now!
They are not even taking in new employees
They are just going to depend on the new interns send by NTU
Poor them
At least i only got 4 more weeks left!!
Till then, I will "try" to work hard

Back From Shanghai !!!!

I am BAck from Shanghai
A whirlwind tour of the city and I am in LURVE!!!
I love how the old and the new come together and the old buildings along the BUND!!
I am totally captivated by the European-like buildings...
I would love to go back again soon
Meanwhile... here's a sneak peek of my trip.. It's gonna be LONG

11th May
The train ride took about 11 to 12hrs and finally at 7.3am, we reached SH
A 5 mins walk brought us to the subway tt will bring us to Daphne's house
Her house was sooo convenient
Many food centres, Lotus, Walmart, etc
Lurve it there

Anyway when we reached, we couldn't contain our excitement and hug each other
The first thing we did was to go to the Cloth centre at Pu Xi
We went to tailormake our shirt and stuff
I make a shirt-dress
Black and simple, it exudes style (hahaha trying to be fashion reporter here)
ANyway, I was told it will be ready on Sunday morning
(In the end, when we go on Sunday to collect, we were told it is not ready.
Plus the cutting was bad and everything
I had to re-do the skirt when I go back.
However, the working shirt tt Shi ting and Allan made was good!!!
and it cost SGD16 onli.. Not bad for the quality shirt tt fits)

We went around the area looking at stuff
However Daphne's eyes was tearing like mad and she left school
As we had the house keys, we went home
While she rested, we watched the Famous drama "Sex and the City"
It was realli mind-boggling
I now know why Singapore did not air the show...
The topic, sex and everything to it was discussed very openly
Anything and everything relating to it- well I guess I see a side of life not seen in SG??
hahaha but I think I do agree with the censor board
This show is realli too mature for the Singapore audience
Moreover, the sex education in Singapore is not as "in depth" as the show
If the youth watched this, they will me soo affected by it

Anyway, after the show we went to eat the famous Ben's sushi
It was located at Daphne's old house and the food there was fabulous!!!
I lurve the food and it was very good
I totally enjoyed it and was v full
We had sushi, kimchi, udon, bim bim bab (yes... it's a Jap restaurant)

Plus, we watched the Korean movie 200 pound beauty
It was soo funny!! yet real
There is this girl who weigh 200 pound..
She has fabulous voice but because she's fat, she has to hide her identity
as.. she sings for a pretty gal who lipsynch and dance on stage.. using sex appeal to sell
Oh well, in the end she was hurt by the producer she was secretly in luv with
She decided to go for plastic surgery and she became pretty
To cut the story short, she became different from her old self
She even deny her father after she became famous.. However there is a happie ending..
It is now in SG cinema.. watch it!!!!

Anyway after food, we went to the different house of the GIP shanghai ppl
Some of their houses are realli quite run down..
I guess I am realli fortunate...
Anyway after tt, we went KTV
We sang from like 12am till 6am
It was realli crazy and I was totally tired after it..
But I enjoyed my time there with Shi ting, Lee Choon, Daphne, Allan, and her friends, Darren, Eng Wee and Qi Yang..

12th May
reached home and sleep like a log till 2.30pm
Supposed to woke up at 12 but I was too tired
Anyway everyone woke up late and we end up going out only at 4pm

The first meal of the day is at Coco's Curry
It was recommended by Daphne and it was reali good
There is 4 steps before eating
U choose the curry, the amount of rice u want, the spiciness and the side dishes
Darren dared me to try the most spicy ones while he will try the 2nd most spicy
He was kind of boasting tt he can take spicy food
Boy, was he in for a shock when I finished all the curry and not a hint of tear/sweat on my face
He coulnd't take the spiciness and was drinking soo much water
but anyway he finished his food too!! heehee

After the meal, we went to ren min guang chang(人民广场）
The whole area is kind of cool with many high rise building and the Bund is also located there
It was fun as we walked down the bu xing jie (步行街）
There are man manyn shops there and very modern
I counted 4 Mcdonalds along tt stretch
and the whole place has old and yet new buildings... i luv it
We enjoyed sightseeing and then we went down to the BUND!!
It is located next to the Huang Pu river which seperates Pu xi(浦西) and Pu dong(浦东)
It was cooling there and the night view is realli beautiful
The lights and everything was so bright!
The Bund was lighted up so nicely and the old colonial building was realli nice

After tt, we went home to get ready coz Daphne is gonna bring us to BONBON!!
It is one of the club here.. entrance fee cost 120RMB(due to the special DJs tonite)
But there is free-flow of drinkss
According to Daph, u can see ppl puking everywhere...

There are 3 GIP shanghai guys who joined us
We had lots of fun and started to play games
the usual: whoever lost had to drink
Well, let's just say I drank quite a bit
I drank bout 4 cups not counting the beer i tried and the different drinks
I had like vodka lime and bourbon cola
I seriously think I became wild here and i Need to stop!!!
No more drinking!!! I had a tummy now due to my drinking habit here
ARGHHHHH

Anyway we danced a lot and when we went to the RnB room, Daph was soo popular
She got approached by 3 guys !!
Anw, there is this French guy who danced with me....
I was sooo shocked when he bend down and said,' We can leave now if u want!!!'
I was sooo shocked and it was another few minutes before I react
Apparently, the SHanhainese female go to clubs to be picked up
As I looked around the room, I felt sad for them
They were touched everywhere and I even saw a couple making out
I guess I won't understand them at all
However, I vow never to become like them......

We danced till about 4 am and by the time we went home, it was alr like 5am
Samuel was soo nice... He made breakfast for us!!!
I am soo happie.. Thanks..

13th May
Slept till 10 am and I was realli sleepy...
When we woke up, we went to collect Shi ting and Allan's shirts
V V nice
After tt, went to the city to drink the herbal soup without MSG
Recommended by Daph again
It was realli GOOD!!!
I lurve the soup and it made me miss home-cooked food!!!
The soup was clear and light.. I can realli taste the herb
I also ate pork rib rice and it was good too
Realli had a satisfying lunch...

Anyway walked around Nanjing Road and we ate again
(I soo am going to gain lots of weight if i stay in shanghai)
Had some very nice snacks and lurve it a LOt
hehhe

Oh well, I guess tt's the end of my Shanghai trip
It was fabulous and I lurve it here
I might even enjoy working there
another choice open for me.. hehehe
I hope to come back here again soon

I am soo tired...
My Norway visa is soo troublesome!
Well I want to go but it seems like I can't travel at all after the trip!
The visa will end on 13th July
Soo stupid
I dun even hav time to pack??!!
I hope I can get an extension
Had been feeling stress due to this
Plus the hot weather, and sm stuff make me very short tempered
What more I send my passport back to Indo and I can't change my foreign currency in my back account... tt means I am BROKE!!!!
I guess i can't go Shopping now which is good!!! heehee
But I dun know how I am going to survive this 5 more weeks with like 1000RMB

However I am very excited..
5 More weeks and it is finally over!!!
I want to go home and sleep.. hehe

ANyway, please pray for me
Pray tt I will continue to persevere

It was another day of shopping but i got jeans and cargo today

5th May
Went clubbing today!!!
It is my first time in Beijing and I was very excited
Daphne brought us to Mix (she's here for a wk and she alr know where to go??!!)
The ppl who went: Shi ting, Yeeting, Siew Ling, Lee Choon, Jessica, Daphne and me

It was realli a cool place
I had fun dancing with the gals
Many guys try to dance with us but we were just out for a girl night so who cares??

Anyway there is this lecher who touched Daphne!!!
Another old pervert man was like dancing against us!!!
We were totally turned off
We only drank a bottle of beer and dance the night away
It was sooo fuN!!!

6th May

Today we woke up at 9 and went to SI Ma tai!!!
We r realli crazy... we slpt at 4 am and went to climbed the Great wall

By the time we reached there, it is already 4 pm.. we only had 2 hrs to climb
Me and shi ting was in front and we climbed till tower 8 within an hr
Tt is quite a feat!!!
It was beautiful and the view was amazing
However the wind was realli strong...
There is one part I nearly got blown away.. NOT JOKING!!!!
I realli lurve the climb and I am so going again!!!

Anyway we took flying fox down and in the end, i took with Shi ting
The uncle refused to let me go myself coz he said I m too thin (???)
Quoting from him: You are too miao tiao(slim) ..
I guess it is not good to be too miao tiao (HUH??)
I was like HUH??
Watever.. in the end, ours went like WHOOsh and Shi ting and I were screaming
hHAHAA
However realli enjoyed ourselves

Great Trip to Mongolia

I am Back!!!!
Finally back from Mongolia, away at the wilderness...
I enjoyed the trip a LoT
The whole trip was realli fun!
Read on for more info

30th April
Took a bus frm Wudaokou xi jiao bin guan (西郊宾馆)
the bus trip was like 8 hrs!!!
it was written as 5-6 hrs *sigh*
To think they even want to lie bout this

Anyway, when we reached there, it is already 2 plus and we had lunch then
it was cold!!!
I din even bring warm clothes and it was sooo windy
I was freezing like mad

After lunch, i layered up and went for a horse ride
It was real cool!!!
I lurve it!!! Completely!!
we were riding the horse on our own and it was fun!
u can feel the wind blowing on ur face and it was so relaxing
The view was spectacular and I was realli enjoying everything around me

The horseride was around 2 hrs and we stopped for refreshment..
It was fun and then I managed to take a nice jumping shot!
On the way back, the horse galloped at a faster speed and it was like Whoosh!!
WOW!!

At night we watched the traditional dance in like realli realli cold weather
I nearly just died...
In the end we surrounded the bonfire and "ignored" the performance
heehee
It was damn cold and ten of us were in the same tent..
Although it is supposed to be warm, it is NOT!!!
but then it was realli cozy and nice

1st May
WE woke up at like 5am to watch the sunrise
When i opened my eyes, it was already bright
I was like wat am i going to see??
But anw it was fun!
I saw the sun rising up over the horizon and it was amazing
I lurve it! We even did a jump shot and it was real good!

Anw today we went to the desert
It was HOT!!!!
I wore a tank top and it was still v v hot
We ride on camels and did a slide down the sand
It was damn cool
I thought Shi yi was quite brave but she was actually afraid
In the end, we were together for the cable car and the slide

Yo han(our new Korean friend) did a handstand and breakdance for us
WOW!!!
It was tiring today but realli fun

2nd May
Last day in Mongolia
In the morning took a 4 hr bus ride to the city of Hu He Hao Te
My butt was hurting in the end
Then we went to the Dinosaur Museum there
It was quite alright but i guess not smthg I am expecting

After lunch, we took a 8 hr bus ride!!!!!!
It was soo tiring
In the end, Eli vomitted (take care gal!)
I was damn tired and when i go home, i just toppled
heehee

Although the trip was tiring, I realli enjoyed it
The view was magnificent

26th April
I went to small group today
Haven't been attending for a long long time!!!
Anyway it was fun!
We had small group at Polly's place and she has a big puppy!
I was expecting a small and cuddly puppy but no no no!!
It was HUGE!!!
It was even taller than me!!
heeeheeee

Anyway we did on Philip Yancey's What's so Amazing bout Grace?
It was good.. I really love the session and everything
It made me missed PUNJ, church and my sistas!!!
Missed all my friends too!!!
Hopefully everyone missed me too!
hahaha

27th April
Finally, today after school, we went to climb the GREAT WALL!!!
It was really cool!!
We went to one of the easiest part: Ju Yong Guan (居庸关）
The steps were all sooo steep
and some of u might know I have short legs!!
Soooo I have to pull myself up the steps and it was quite tiring for me
My legs and hands were both working very hard...

Anyway it was tiring but the climb to the top was worth it!!!
The view up there were amazing
Then we even climb up to the top of the tower!!
The thing is I had difficulty climbing up seeing that I have short legs
Daniel Ong (the very one) volunteered his leg
We climbed up stepping on his leg and Lo and Behold, we are all up!
The thing is it was also difficult to go down sooo
Dong volunteered his shoulders for us to "dropped on"
I felt like a cheerleader sitting on his shoulders
and the thing is he even walked around before he put me down!!
That's why the title of today's blog is HERO OF THE DAY!!!
Thanks Dong!!!

ANyway after great wall, we went to eat the HK dim sum again!!
I was really hungry when I reached there but u know what?
I was realli disappointed today!!
The food was not as nice as the other time we went
and many of the food was not available anymore
*sob Sob*

After food, we all went home
It was quite a tiring but FuN!!

28th April
I din go to school today becoz..
DAPHNE came to BEIJING!!!
I went to the train station to meet her
I was sooo happy to see her!!
I miss her lots and finally I can meet her!!!
Had lunch with her. her colleague: Christine, Eli's friend: John and Eli
Ate the same thing again: gong bao ji ting (宫宝鸡丁），dumpling(饺子), etc
Nice nice food!!! and we only paid 16 per person!! Not bad

After lunch, they went to Forbidden City while i went home
Did a little shopping at Watsons and went to mail my stuff back
Then i went home to read "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom
It was good good good!! I luv it
It was quite touching and the tears just flowed
I was crying buckets and my eyes became puffy!!
hahaha
Anw I think this book is quite a inspirational kind of book and
some of what Prof Morrie said is realli quite true
Won't say what it is becoz.. U have got to read it!!!
heehee

Anyway at night went to eat Jap buffet and it was really good
Ate so much sashimi and had a lot of other food
Plus we celebrated Jessica's bdae !!
The cake was quite good but I was so full by then, I only ate a bite
After dinner, some of them went to Babyface to club and some to KTV
I was deciding between Babyface or KTV..
Wanted to go both and in the end decided on KTV
coz it is nearer to home.. heehee
But in the end, I came back later anw..
We were in high spirits as we sing and started dancing and doing all sorts of stuff
It was realli FUN!!!

When I went home, I realised Shi Yi was drunk..
SHe drank quite a lot last time but this time it was TERRIBLE!!!
The whole room stank of the alcohol
Apparently she was realli dead by the time I went home
coz she was already asleep when she reached!!

Xiaochen, If u r reading this, Please rem not to drink sOOO Much!!
Don't say you are not drunk again!! The fact is You are!!!

ANyway Kristy here would appreciate if you all can pray for me
1) Pray for safe journey as I travel to Mongolia for hols
2) Pray for health: now everyone at home is sick so I hopt that I won't get the virus AGAIN
3) Pray for relationship: 6 girls living in the same house is tough (I am not gg to lie) so I hope you can continue to pray for us.. although now we are all ok...
4) Pray for perseverance: I am very sianz of the work here now since I am not doing a lot. Pray that I will continue to do my very best

Today is a stressful day!!!
I got to settle my NOrway tickets
also got some stuff that made me felt sad today

but some change of plans due to me staying in BJ longer to do my Norway thing

The buffet cost like 68 RMB (divide by 5 to know SGD)
Sooo cheap
It was not bad too
The sashimi is free flow!! so we ate like salmon, sea bass,
It was really a satisfying meal...

20th April
Today school was for the whole day
After school, went to shop along wu dao kou
Nothing much today

21st April
After school, Shi ting and I went to the zoo wholesale market
Yahoooo bought sooo many things!!
Although I spend a lot,I am realli satisfied with what I buy

After shopping, it is off to dinner at Yee ting's area
The dim sum there is realli realli good
WOW
I am so happie today

22nd April
woke up early in the morning to go to the Ming tombs
Thought it was going to be interesting but it was a disappointment

I had been feeling quite sad since yesterday
Seeing that I had nothing to do, I went to read up on some news

Lo and Behold, what tragedy!!
Virginia gun shot was a shock and now I found out it is by a South Korean
I offer my prayers to all the victims and their families
The guy although he is the alleged murderer must be a victim of something too
Maybe he felt left out or what, I dunno
I just hope that this will not give rise to any racial discrimination or riots!!
I just felt so sad bout this and this moment in time, I really think the world needs a God, someone to lead them out of darkness

Well Siew Ling and I had a heart to heart talk yest and we both became sad
hahaha
It was quite funny but we were both talking bout relationship
It was quite depressing coz Shi ting was sad too
In the end, 3 girls were feeling sad

Lord, lord, mold me to be able to take this better
Help me to accept whatever come my way!!
Give me strength to deal with it according to Your way!!
Give me wisdom to think of solutions!

I am soo boredd....
There is nothing for me to do at work
This must be the first time but i am already bored
Yesterday I was surfing and chatting for the whole afternoon
Then today I did the same thing from Morning...

Oh well, at least I managed to do some research for my Norway trip
Plus emailing stuff, cheking stuff
hahaha
Not that I am complaining I got no work to do
I just feel bored as I can't dll stuff into this com to do!!
Hopefull I will get smthg to do soon!!!

These few days i ate a LOT!!
I am on the road to recovery and my appettite has returned
anyway hav quite a lot of fun this wk

13th April
Today had a lesson on state owned company and the different companies in China
Quite interesting
We even managed to go to a company manufacturing steel
We got to go into the factory and saw with our eyes how steels are made
It is amazing
The workers had to work in front of the high heat everyday
It was really bad
I was standing behind a glass wall and I can actually feel the heat!!
It was quite a short trip but good nevertheless

At night we went to eat hot pot!! I like!!
It was good coz everyone has their own pot
Means i won't pass virus to people
heehee
After dinner, went to walk around wu dao kou
There were some vendors and we got quite nice stuff
I bought this gold tank top tt looks like it is from Mango!
heehee I just luv shopping here

15th April
Today went to the ba da chu garden 八大处公园
In the garden there were 8 temples
It was all quite old and well since I didn't go church,,
I did prayer walk with Lee Choon!!
It was good!!
Some of the temples have themes and it was all new to me
I realised I really don't know a lot of stuff!!
Like Guan Gong and Guan Yu is the same person??
Oh i really need to read up more!!!

Anw the temples are build like on top of mountains
We need to climb up to the top in order to view all the different temples
It was very tiring as it is sort of climbing a mountain
My shoes are not for climbing so it was slippery
However, the view from the top is GOOD!!!
I luv the air on top. so fresh!!!

It is worth going but I might consider training first!
I got muscle ache when I came down!!!!
Embarassing....
Plus I ate a LOT
Ate like fan tuan, bread, jian bing, .....

After the climb, we went home and I stop by a department store
Got a columbia shoe!!! It was under disc!! Got it for 479 RMB
Not very cheap but I will pay for a good shoe!!!
I also got another running shoe!!
Adidas Kids (hahaha) for like 279!!!
SOOO cheap... haha
Super happy today

The Adventure of going to Xuan Wu hospital

Today I didn't go work
(I practically am sick for every month I am here)
Shi ting and I were sick and we both went to Xuan wu hospital (one of the local hospital)
Lee Choon didn't go work and brought us there
(Thank you darling!!!)

It was really an adventure going there
It wasn't as bad as I imagine
(at least it is better than indo hospital)
BUT the whole process is mind-boggling!!
First I went to line up for a number
and when it was my turn, the operator said I have to apply for a hospital card!
So i went to fill in a card and line up again for a number

Next we went up the the 5th floor to see the repiratory department or watever
Then the nurse manually arranged for a doctor for us
No number watsoever is actually needed
I wonder why I even lined up for the number

Anyway my doctor had a heck-care attitude
I was in for not very long and he gave me like 3 medicine for my cough and flu
When i came out, Shi ting told me she had to take a blood test (GASP!)
Whoever heard of a blood test when u had flu??
*scratch my head*

She went to the counter for the blood test and you know what?
They asked her to pay first
SOooo we had to queue up for like 15 mins to pay!
( the queue was realli lonGGGGGgggggggg)
I paid mine too and went to take my medicine while Shi ting went to take blood test
I went to the pharmacy to take my medicine and it was like 30 mins wait!!!
I nearly fainted
Plus I got to go up to the CHinese medicine pharmacy as my doctor gave me Chinese and Western medicine!!!
I don't mind the Western medicine queue as it was orderly
BUT the Chinese medicine was terrible!!!
I had to squeeze my way through and when it was going to be my turn,
I got PUSHED OU OF THE QUEUE!!
Oh my, the ppl were really crazy!!
In the end, after pushing my way through for like 15 mins, I finally got my medicine
All these for like 2 small box of medicine!!!??

Meanwhile, Shi ting went up to the doctor, who asked her to take another test to decide whether she can take the IV drip??
Like whoever heard of getting drip just for flu??
Anyway she was passed and in the end, we got to line up to pay again before going for the drip.
It was another long process of paying, waiting for medicine, going to the Chinese medicine department AGAIN
Finally we went to the "drip" department

They had like 4 rooms especially for drips
I find it weird...
It's like everyone is on drip
WHY?? it is not normal to go on drip like any old how??
But anyway today shi ting has to take like 2 drip!

Aftr her first, we went for lunch at Lao Bei Jing
It is better here
WE had very nice food and a good time of chat
The waitor was very curious about us and we told him we were from Singapore
Guess what he thought we were?
He thought we were Hui Min!!( Muslim)
Which part of me look like Hui Min?
I am eating Noodles with PORK!!!
I nearly roll on the floor and laugh!!

We found out later on that Eli lost her wallet and camera!!!
It was such a bad day for her
Yet she, being a cheerful gal, put on a smile on her face
(you go gal!)

Today was really an adventure for all of us
and i doubt we can forget about it!!

School is here again.
We did a lesson on China's economy.
Very interesting
However, i was feeling drowsy due to the medicine.. sianz
ANW, we went temple of heaven today!!!
It was not as Majestic as I thought it will be
but it is amazing..
And to think we went to it on Good Friday
(there's no holiday here!!)

Spring is here and I luv it.

When I was walking out of Tsinghua after lesson, we saw this tree

Anyway lesson was quite interesting.
We did China and the diplomacy politics with surrounding countries.

Learnt lots of stuff

After school, Jessica and I went to zoo to change a short I bought

Then we start buying stuff.. (what else can we do right)

We both bought a Nine West bag for like RMB65!!!

What a good deal!!

ANyway after shopping, we went to Xidan Beijing bookstore

I definitely will buy back and ship

8th April

Today is Jesus's resurrection day

Lee Choon invited Shi Ting, Siew Ling and Tri Hieu to church

Today's sermon was good and the worship was powerful

I was actually tearing during the worship

Had some thoughts about my life so far in Beijing

Anyway we went to lunch at Brienna's Bistro at Lucky Street

Nice place (Lee Choon and I ate there before)

I luv the place.

Although more pricey but the food is good.

I m feeling so down these few days..
The weather is bad.. I got cough and flu..
Worse, I feel sleepy even though I sleep a LOT!

I am tired..
I actually wanted to go small group tonight
But i dun realli want to spread my germs to people!
and I am now like a walking zombie..
As I am typing this, I feel like sleeping and I am feeling woozy!

Plus today was a bad bad day!!
My colleague droppped a file on my hp and my screen broke!!
Although it is an old phone, my heart just sank.
I am feeling soo sooo sad now

The temperature in the room is also not helping matters
It is cold and the HR manager went to switch off the heater!!

BUT tonight is the worst night ever
It is cold and freezing.

The worst thing is Shi ting is down with cold and fever.

Today school was a bit more interesting than yesterday
We had a lesson on China political party
Learnt some pretty interesting stuff

Anyway in the afternoon, I went to the zoo market
Today I spend the same amount of money I lost yesterday!
I feel happy though
With 80 SGD, I bought sooo many things!!
I bought a dress(supposedly for a wedding),
two empire cut top, two tank top, one very nice off-shoulder top, one set of track suit,
a wallet, 3 pouches, 1 short, one earring, one necklace!!!
HAHAHA
I am soo happy today

Anyway after tt, we went to this Italian restaurant to celebrate Lee Choon's bdae
The food was good, everyone was happy and the CHOCOLATE CAKE is good!!!
Lee choon even made a speech and it was just hilarious!

Hey ppl!!!
It was a good day today
School was okay.
BUT it rained and our trip to Temple of heaven was postponed
In the end, we went to the WUdaokou wholesale market
I was shopping happily and suddenly...

I FOUND THAT MY BAG WAS OPEN!!
My wallet was stolen!!!
It was quite depressing for me!
I had like 400++RMB in my wallet(about 80SGD)
But i guess what's gone is gone
I just hope the person really needs the money
and Maybe one day he will come to know the Lord....

ANyway we went to eat Italian food at night and it was nice nice
I did enjoy my Spanish beef with rice
Yum Yum

Will definitely go there again!

AT night the gals(Shi ting, Siew Ling, Jess, Yee Ting, Lee Choon and Shi Yi) went KTV
I was supposed to go too but was too tired
In the end i fell asleep
and guess what??
THE GALS WAITED OUTSIDE UNTIL 3 am!!!!
I was sleeping like a log and i didn't hear them!
I felt so guilty and bad about it
but at least they were nice and didn't say anything much

To rAin or not to Rain!

This morning when i woke up it was very very cold..
It is spring now! Not supposed to be this cold!!!

Anyway we thought it was going to rain so Siew Ling and I went out earlier
Guess what?
It started to rain the moment we were out!!!
ARGHH
I don't even have an umbrella!
We took a bus halfway to Da Bei Yao (大北窑）
then we took a taxi from there to our company as it was getting heavier!
It cost 21RMB (5SGD)
Sianz...

Around lunchtime it was like HOT!!!
The sun was out and the weather got warm
Seriously I might get sick anytime soon!
I was bored then and I took some photos

After lunch i still got to finish my audit stuff
I looked at the form and I am confused..
I really don't know how to do it
This morning when Rosa came, she was kind of hinting she wanted a complete printed copy of the forms
TOO BAD! i don't know how to do it and you won't be getting it

Anyway tonight, I rushed to meet Lee Choon around her office
It is fellowship time for the small group.
Actually I haven't been going to small group as I have been busy and too tired to go

We went to TGI friday's for a good WEstern food..
YUMMY!!!
I had this fried macaroni and cheese thing
Ribs and New YoRk CheeSecake!!!
It was quite affordable as it was around 150RMB (30SGD)
it is for TWO!!!
not that cheap but considering it is quite a high class area.. It is cheap!

Today is quite a good day and I am looking forward to school tom!

I was supposed to help out for auditing but I was given sooo much work!!
I can't finish it and the manager(not Jane) asked me to do this and that on top of what I am doing!
Of course I couldn't finish my work in the end!!
Hello?? I have no experience in Audit and U asked me to do it in MANDARIN!
I NEED MORE TIME!!!

sianz!! I know i sound angry but I am just frustrated!

Anyways, I went back home straight after home as I was too tired.
Shi yi asked me to go with her to the salon
I already cut my hair yest (at the same salon!)
The same stylist cut her hair and it was nice nice nice!!
SHe looked sooo feminine and pretty now!
not tt she dun before but now she looked so pretty!

Today is a lovely day!!
The sun is out, the weather is warm and the flowers are blooming
Spring is in the air!!!

Anyway this morning I got to wake up at 5.30 am!!!
I was really tired as I slept at like 1 am??
But anw I got to go He Bei.
What can I complain about?
I am doing auditing today and it is different frm accounting (and i Dun like it too for now)
I am super tired but Lunch really perks me up!!!

WE had very very good food today
There was this noodle soup, vege salad, vege with some fruit seed, hotpot beef satay (dun know wat is it called), vege with bacon, vege with beehoon, smelly tofu and meat, roasted chicken!!
Too bad I din take any picture.

I m soo getting fat these 3 days!! but i luv it.. haha

This week is quite busy
I had many things to do for work
Then i got to do accounts and my balance sheet finally balanced!!!

It was sooo troublesome!
In short, we have to make multiple trips to the police stations and the visa place!!
Anw at night on Wed (21st Mar) we had dinner with Prof Er
He came to visit us and our houses for some GIP thing

today we have school the whole day

Very interesting lesson

We had Chinese Painting and Chinese papercut!!!

today went sch for Chinese Calligraphy class

Very interesting..

We had to learn the different ways of writing and then we got to write it

But we din get to write it wit brush and ink as the time was too short

Anyway after school we went to a porridge place for lunch

Lee choon and I asked Lou out

Lou is this guy we got to know who is studying language in Tsinghua

It is quite funny how we met

I saw him standing next to me in the supermarket in Tsinghua

then i heard him spoke in tagalog

and then i met him in church the next week

and in restaurant near the school

and in church again

and Lee choon approached him!!! my jaw almost dropped!!!

Anyway we found out tt he was praying to get to know friends from Tsinghua!

Today church was good

This week at the company, everything is smooth-riding
I got to do the accounts of this client and i had to redo everything!
The other accountants before me has been slacking and filling in the same figure!
I felt a sense of achievement becoz this is the first time I managed to balance all the figures!
I am super happy
Anyway Wed there was a Bdae celebration and we had cheesecake! YUMMY!!

15th March
Today, PK, Siew Ling, Shi Ting and I went to eat Steamboat!
I really miss steamboat!
I hav been wanting to eat but no time
We had yuan yang guo (one chicken soup, one spicy soup)
It was YUMMY!!
i luv it and i was realli happie with the food
I was really full by the time we stopped eating!

Anyway when we left, I didn't realise i left my CAMERA!!!!!!
Thankg God the waitress ran up to me and RETURNED IT!!
I was relly grateful and i will definitely go there to eat again!!

Today is school day and I am very happy
I like the lesson today as it was on the historical building etc
Very interesting..

Anyway in the afternoon, we went to Forbidden City!!!
it was GREAT!!
Huge place, nice scenery, except for the construction!!
There was renovation in preparation for Olympics
I din get to see many things but being there alone was WOW
The Chinese were pretty amazing last time to have build such a big place!
At night, we went to watch Beijing Opera!!
It was quite exciting and funny!

17th March
Today, went to school and had origins of Mandarin language lesson

It was superb!

The teacher is good and the lesson was interesting!!!

I really listened to it very attentively!

Too bad we only have limited time and we din get a change to talk more!

In the afternoon, we went out to eat BBQ chicken wings near the Tsinghua

THE FOOD WAS GOOD!!!

Although it was just a small stall, the food was well made and we ate A LOT!

well there were around 13 of us there so I guess we did order a LOT!

hahaha

Anyway, Lee Choon's 2 friends join us and they brought us around

They were really nice!!

They were very patient while waiting for us girls.

Plus they were very friendly!!

The brought us to Beijing Uni and accompany us for the whole day!!

We actually walked 3 hrs to get ice cream.. TIRING

Church was good today!!

I finally got to know this guy from Tsinghua

I saw him a few times in Tsinghua and in church too!!!

I told Lee Choon and guess what??

LEE CHOON WENT UP TO HIM!!I nearly faint....

but anyway i found out that he has been praying to get to know friends frm Tsinghua who is in church too....

God really works in a funny way

Lee Choon wouldn't have done it normally but well she did

and we got to know him and he got to know us....

This wk has been a tiring week
Been sleeping late and now I look like a panda!!!

I signed up to help for Beijing Olympics!!!
I don't know whether I got it yet but I am excited about it

I was asked to do 2 accounts
and Had to go back again
It is so troublesome to buy a book of cheque!!!
I had to stay in the bank for an hr to apply for a book
and I can collect it the nxt day!!!

School today is interesting
I like it as it is HISTORY class!!!

Anyway the teacher is a bit long-winded but what he said is quite interesting.
anw, we went to Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Centre
The place is quite big
There are exhibition on the Olympics building and the Old beijing houses etc
Very interesting indeed.

Plus we went to Hu tong 胡同
It is smwhere near hou hai and the place is a clubbing and pubbing scene.

10th March
Today is school day!
I was quite awake today coz the teacher is quite good
and we were doing smthg on Geog (which is competely foreign to me)
The teacher touched on China's minority groups too and it was really interesting
She explained it so clearly and I even got the ppt from her

Anyway after school, we went to eat at Bravo (Italian restaurant which i ate at last wk)
It was really nice and cheap
I had garlic bread, spaghetti, chicken wing and soup for like 30 RMB!!!
That is like 6 SGD!!!!

Anyway later on we went to Wu Dao Kou 五道口 market again
HAHA guess what we did?
We went shopping AGAIN!!!
there were many new stocks and I bought 4 things
I bought a bag for work (coz my other bag turned black!!!! from all the dust)
I got 2 tees and a jacket (it is cold at home... BRRRRR)
Everyone else bought stuff too

Anyway after shopping we went to alina and aijia's place to relax
As Aijia was sick, we stayed in and had girlie talk plus watch TV
It was very comfy and cosy and I think we should do it more often!!!

Service today was good
I realised that the song leader is writing songs for the beijing olympics!!!
WOW. there was a cameraman who was filming it and CCTV is doing a programme on him.
So exciting...
Anw the sermon today is really good
It was on renewal of prayers and the speaker is a guest called Stuart Briscoe (i think)
I learned smthg and it was good. ")

After the sermon, Lee Choon and I went to eat and shop with PK at Walmart
He bought sooo much stuff for his place
Anyway today is tiring and I seriously need some sleep..

I have been soo tired this week

24th Feb to 4th March
This week has been fantastic
I have been quite busy with work doing accounts again
Then wed (28th Feb) went to He Bei to do audit
I heard that it might be last time there
Sooo sad
I will miss the free lunch

Anyway there are two new staff in my company so now I don't have to do tt much
and now My position is cheap labour
Anything they don't want to do will be pass on to me
sianz but at least i can take a breather

2nd March was our first day of school!!!
It was exciting and we woke up at like 5 plus to take the subway
Everyone was feeling very happy and high and we practically ran to the subway station
Anyway when we reached wu dao kou, we still has to walked like for 25 mins
but it was fine since the weather has turned hot
I was totally amazed when I stepped into the school!
THE SCHOOL IS HUMONGOUS !!!
When we stepped into the school, we still need to walk for like 15-20 mins
Can you imagine how far is tt??
NTU comparitively is a pea. haha

Anyway the school compound is really nice
I was walking around with the TsingHua students and I was lost
HAHAHA it is really big
Anyway today's lesson is very interesting
The teacher is very nice and I was totally attentive
He did a overview of China and I really luv it
At night we had a welcome dinner and it was practically the first proper meal in 2 mths
The food is good and I guess I was just hungry
PK has to suddenly dropped a bomb and said that girls usually gained weight during exchange!

After the meal, it started pouring and we bought umbrellas.
we then procede to my favourite activity every weekend: SHOPPING!!

Anyway tonight it snowed!!!
it was exciting
Lee Choon, Shi Yi, Shi ting, Siew ling and I rushed down from our house to go seE snow!!
We were like thiss 5 freaks and the security guard must be thinking that we are nutty

4th March
Today I stayed at home and did some quiet time and listened to sermon
It was a refreshing time
I shld do smthg like tt more often (wkday tt is)
Anywa today went to silk market AGAIn
to buy sports shoes coz we r going to climb the GREAT WALL nxt wk!!!!

Since it is the last day of Chinese New Year, we had tang yuan too
Anyway we went to eat Pizza buffet and there was a LOT of food
I was totally full and bloated
Not only that, we came back and they cooked tang yuan!

Writing this is very depressing right now
HOLIDAY is ENDING!!!!
I am very very upset as I am totally not looking forward to it
Anyway here's what happened the past few days

22nd Feb
Today we had to accompany aLlan to go to his hotel to return his hotel key
In the end, we din go Miao Hui ad went nearby to eat

The dumplings and the 水煮鱼(fish in some spicy soup)

It was very very nice
Anyway in the end, we were nearly late

In the afternoon, we end up going to 天意新商场

It is like a wholesale market

It has everything else except clothes

The clothes there are really ugly ")

It has other nice stuff like Hp accesories, etc

I bought a lot of cute socks and i got EDC jeans

23rd Feb
Today we finally went to MIAO HUI!!
It is like the usual thing to do for CNY

It is really really squeezy but I really enjoyed it

There are soooo many food to try and soooo many things to buy

I am super happy coz I bought some stuff

Bought a ladybird windmill, cutlery set for Mummy, Wodden house set for sis

and a few more stuff

Plus I ate smelly tofu, chicken satay, lamb satay, etc etc

Anyway, after miao hui, Shi ting and I went to buy grocery

On the way, we saw a limo and couldn't resist but took a pic with it

It was a failure as we couldn't find the plum sauce

Anyway we had KTV AGAIN!!

It was fun but tiring for sure

Jessica and Yeeting stayed over and we talked till 4 am!!

24th Feb

Today is my last day of holiday!!!!

We woke up late and went to 秀水街(silk market)

I think you all should have guess now that I went shopping aGAIN!

Oh well, the weather is getting warmer and I only brought winter clothes

Anyway, I bought 3 T-shirt!

I like the design and I thought the price was oK.

哈尔滨之旅 Ha Er Bin trip

I am back from Ha Er Bin finally!!!
It was really really fun and the place is very cold
I touched snow and play with it

18th Feb
We took train from Beijing station to Ha Er Bin today
we were there at around 5 plus and the whole trip takes about 12 hour
We ate and slept in the train
The bed is good and there are people selling snacks, rice etc
There is even a cabin for restaurant

19th Feb
in the morning at 5 am, we reached Ha Er Bin station

We went off to eat our breakfast at 北北大酒店

Today was a packed day! we went to sooo many places

We went to Dragon Tower, church, snow swimming, ice and snow festival
It was really rushed and I ran and ran and ran

Super tiring

I just slpt like a pig at night when we went to the cabin

Today we reached BJ finally!!
We reached here at about 7 plus and we were greeted by foggy skies
The whole of BJ is really very foggy and we couldn't see anything
Anyway we went to eat McDonalds' breakfast
It was nice nice nice (I guess I am too hungry)

In the afternoon, we went out to meet Allan
I went to eat Peking DUCK!!!!

The service there is really good

We can even go to the kitchen to choose the duck we want!!

Not only that, even though we only eat the duck, we got free desert and free fruits!!

today we had to go back to work
I has to like create folders by month for the clients
In the end, we left at 11am!
Siew Ling and I went to buy stuff in the end

Anyway we had reunion dinner again tonight
It was really fun and cool
Some of us cooked and we actually had a lot of food
The fireworks and firecracker was fantastic
The whole sky is littered with glitters
It was very pretty
We were all very excited and we started getting "high"
It was really cool and the view was fantastic
It was very very loud though and I might get some hearing problems

Happy V day!
Today all the gals in the house went out for a V day dinner tog
We went to a jap restaurant called 元绿
The food was quite ok and I ate tempura set
It cost RMB28! quite cheap

Went to Walmart today with Shi ting
Walmart is officially our favourite supermarket

Today, the director, Terri treated us at this 四川 restaurant
quite nice food and ambience
We ate a lot and I was very full

I managed to squeeze in time today coz I am sick and home alone again

8th Feb
Today is my colleague Julia last day
I am soo sad
She has been helping me in accounts
and I will definitely miss her :)
Anyway we went to eat nicer food
I ate chicken bowl (it is something like Yoshinoya though cheaper)

I am soo excited.
At night, Siew ling and I went out with Miranda after work

we went to 新街口 and ate KFC(again)
The place is full of shops!
Small little shops where you can bargain
Some shops sells designer stuff
You don't really see streets like this in SG
really nice though today BUT I didn't buy anything!

Actually i did buy 老婆饼 so tt is still something
It was lovely with melon fillings
Siew Ling bought egg roll and it was really really good
It was fresh out of the oven and still warm
It was super crispy and it breaks at the slightest touch

9th Feb
Today was a busy day
Did soo many accounts and I was super confused
I dunno how they work but to me I couldn't concentrate with so many company thrust at me
one minute they want the account at a specific time
Suddenly they asked me to do something else
I was totally confused and I mixed up all the company!!!
I better be more careful.
Anyway I applied for summer programme and only managed to sleep at 2 am
Was supposed to go to the Wholesale market again but I think I am giving it a miss
(I can't believe I actually did)

10th Feb
Today is Bdae celebration for all the GIP Feb babies
In the morning Eli, Shi Yi, Shi Ting and Siew Ling went to the wholesale market at 6!!!
I was totally tired so I didn't even wake up! (:
Anyway I went with Lee Choon to Wal Mart
It was huge
I prefer Wal Mart actually
Not so many people with bigger aisle
Nicer place with many nice food
haha
Anyway we were nearly late to take the cake
The guy was already at our place and I was still at Wal mart when he delivered the cake!
In the afternoon, We had potluck at our place
YAY! (no need to travel)
there were dumplings, fried rice, fried noodles-look-alike(dunno wat it is) and sandwich

Anyway at night, we went to KTv to sing
We sang for like 6 hrs and had lots of wine, beer, food and it cost...RMB48 (inclusive of cake)

It was really tiring and by the time we reached home, it was around 2am
Thank God our place is just opposite the KTV
Anyway I had to continue my application for my Summer programme

11th Feb
today, the gals except Lee Choon went to watch the Phantom of the Opera concert
It was supposed to be the musical thing (we thought)
It end up to be a concert by the orchestra
Anyway, I enjoyed it though technically they were not good enuff
I can hear the squeaking and there were some parts where it was out of tune
However, they improved in the 2nd half
The place is very nice

I totally loved the pieces though I was a bit tired due to my late nights

Anyway after the concert, we went off to eat dinner cum supper

It was good

Not so salty though oily

but nice food

12th Feb

today went to work late

the traffic was bad plus we went out late

I already got headache and fever today and I went work

Went to Vista Clinic for foreigners

Super high-class

The things they used there I hav never even see before in SG

The service was good

well considering the price i Paid

I paid RMB 568!!!!!

I nearly puke but if not for my insurance I wouldn't hav went there

13th Feb

well, I am alone at home

Managed to woke up early to see Shi Ting's permed hair

It looks nice and suit her

I am super bored today but really happy for the rest time

Anyway after lunch, I went to the bank to change my Sgdollar

BUT i forgot my passport!!! ARGHH

in the end, i didn't change and I went to the market to buy stuff to store for CNY

The wind was really strong

It actually drag me when I walked!!!

I was really blown away!

I think I need to gain some weight :(

but the place was cool!!
The whole building is owned by 77th street and it was huge

Work was fine too
did a LOT of filing and accounts of different clients
Tax time is coming (sianz)
ANW, the gals met for dinner tt day
We went to Oregus!!! (pizza buffet)
It was really worth it for about RMB40

Went to church today
Really a nice time as we worship :)
Anyway today after sermon, we had this thing when the elder asked everyone to come to the cross to nail the sins to it
It was very cool.
I did wrote some stuff and wanted to go out to nail it there but....
Nobody on my rows move so it was quite difficult to move out
In the end Lee Choon and I did it after the service

We finally got our rice cooker cum pressure cooker
And we also got a pan, cutting board, .....
SOOO we finally cook dinner and had a very early reunion dinner

Today the colleagues, boss, Siew Ling and I went to KTV!!!
The place is called Tango (糖果)
There is disco, ktv, club, everything
It was huGE!!!
The room we got is good
There is even computer for u to play games when u r bored
Plus, there is a raised platform for those who want to perform
there is buffet table outside the rooms and What a spread!!
There was many food and I was full to the max after I ate
Everyone was quite shy at first when we started singing
BUT some of them are realli good
Like Sonny(the big boss), Terri(director), etc
We sang until about 10 pm and the boss gave us a hongbao
:)
In the end, Terri send Siew Ling and me
YAY!! we reached at about like 11.30 and we slept at around 1pm
I nearly fell aslp in the car

but then I was quite happy at night

Today is another tiring day

the worse thing is I totally am unsure how to use it
AND my boss and colleague don't know too

Anyway Siew Ling and I went to KFC to eat dinner
HAHA we ate the chicken wrap
I ate the lao Bei Jing whereas she ate the Mexican wrap

Home Alone

Today is a bad day for me
I am sick and stayed at home instead of going work
It's good since I have time to do my stuff, sleep
but I don't want to be sicK!!!!!
I think it might be the virus frm the colleagues sitting nxt to me
She has the flu for like 2 weeks alr!

Not only did i get flu, I got cold sores, extreme dry skins,....
Plus, there might be a possibility of a sand storm coming...
I am just overwhelmed by all the things happening

Anyway I woke up super early this morning to rush out the monthly report I have to do for 77th Street
Jane (my boss) and I went to 77th street yesterday to do checkings and stuff
It was huge!!!
They have their own building and it was totally underground
It was called 77th street plaza

Well, anyway I didn't really do much stuff while I was there
I was facing the com the whole time
but the office is sure nice
A very casual and relax place
I hope I can visit it sometime soon

Bad News: My camera is not working well
Everything I took turn out blurred
I can't take a lot of things since all of us dun work at the same place

The end of the week came to a good end
After the shopping trip on saturday, Lee Choon and I went to BICF for service
It was a really good time
Plus I finally met Clarissa
(after talking over sms and emails for soo long)

There was this guy from Middle East who shared his testimony
He actually bought a cross when he was young without knowing any significance
He came to China and he became a Christian after tt
It was encouraging but yet sad since it is his last week in Beijing

Anyway after service, I went for lunch with Clarissa and Lee Choon
We went to this Jap restaurant that is really nice
It looks like a small Japanese house and the whole atmosphere made me think I was in Japan
The food was good too
Three of us ate gyoza, desert(red bean with rice balls) and main dishes
I ate fried rice while they ate ramen
It was about 110 only!
Although it is considered expensive in China, it beats eating oily and salty food.
Not to mention the MSG-laden food!!
I totally need to detox soon

I really enjoyed the time fellowshipping with Clarissa but Alas, time passes so fast
It was 3 by the time we finish eating and in the end, we went our seperate ways.
Lee Choon and I took a bus and we went up at the friendship store instead of homes
I bought some cards and it was quite cute.
The Mandarin verses are quite meaningful

Anyways, we realli went to KTV at night!
It was quite fun
The room is quite big(and it is a small room tt fits 4-5 ppl or so the waitress said)
The songs are quite up to date
Plus we got free red wine(tt is not exactly v nice)
and fruits, popcorn and sprite
It was about S$7 per person which is not bad,
considering it is a Sunday and it is at night.

Anyway, today(monday) was quite a bad day
I got a flu!!! and it is very cold!!
it is like -9 and apparently there was a sand storm
Plus it is very windy

Plus there was something tt was bothering me
I wanted to scream!!! but then I am quite worried about the dust going into my mouth!
hahaha I am getting lame

but then All's well ends well
My boss let me do 77th street acccounts and it was quite interesting
I have to do the balance sheet, income statement, blah blah all by myself
I better wake up and concentrate

Oh well, I better sleep now
I am very tired and tomorrow I still hav to wake up at 7!!

I am super duper happie today!!
we went to Beijing wholesale market to shop!!

In the morning we clean up the house so was late in going out and when we arrived at the market, we realised it close at 4.30!!!!!!
and u know wat time we reached there?

3.00!!!!!!

It was so depressing at tt point of time

but I was realli glad at the end of the day coz the area got a lot of wholesale market so we walked around and bought a lot of stuff
:)

We went to Beijing Zoo wholesale market first
(i dun know why it's called tt)
It is very big
We only managed to shop a bit there and was shocked about the whole situation when everyone started to close their shop!
Then we walked around and went to another wholesale market
SOOO many things!!!
I bought a lot of things there
I even wanted to buy this backpack (for backpacking)
It is only 100RMB!!!!!
I am definitely going to buy it before i leave
hahahaha
I love this whole stretch
I m deifinitely going back again
hahaha

I am super duper happie today!!

Got free lunch today when I went with my boss Jane to do auditing
The clients treat us to lunch and it was very very good
:)

I feel bloated and fat but who cares?
I got to eat this Ma La beef in a hotpot
Then pork with this pancake stuff
Lamb with vege
Chicken wings done with some nice nice sauce
Soup tt is like authentic cuisine at He Bei

Sounds good huh?
HAHAHA I was eating a lot (as compared to the past few days)
My boss also said she might bring me to 77th Street china to do the accounts (If possible)
I am sooo excited!
I prefer going out and doing things.
Staying in the office is very boring!! :)

Anyway the company I went to is set up by Italian
They actually spole Italian to some of the Chinese
The Chinese there can like speak English, Mandarin and Italian
I am super impressed with their grasp of the languages
It is super fluent!!!

I am super frustrated with the internet here

Hey everyone

It's super duper cold out here
It's 12 am and it is like -5 degree!!!

Anyway pardon my ugly blogskin and photoless blog
I can't load a lot of things here as the internet here is not really that good
There's quite a lot of problem.

Just want to share with you all my work
I'm an accounting assisstant
My boss, Jane is very nice
She's quite patient with me and she taught me some stuff
It's been stressful for the past wk

I practically stay in the bank!
The reason being I have to do transactions for the clients
and the staff was not being very friendly (well, some of them)

Anyway it was a traumatising experience
Like today, I went to cash in a check but was rejected
Why? Because the zero on the check is apparently "rewrote"
We can't even like cancel and rewrite so got to write a new check
I feel so bad coz the client has rewrite the check for like 4 times
It makes me realised how convenient Singapore's banking system!!!

Anyway, tm I will be going to somewhere called he bei
meeting a client and helping with some auditing (though I won't be of much help)

Hi everyone

Finally my internet connection is done!!!
and my blog is finally set up!!!

anyway I am enjoying myself (shopping and shopping only)

Work is fine though tiring
have been learning stuff tt I will not be exposed to if I am in sg
Also, have honed my navigation skills and I think it is not bad

the weather is here is very very cold
Today especially
went to church in the morning and at night went to cell group
my hair was blowing in every direction (not literally)

Missed all of you guys in sg, indo or whereever u are!!!
Seriously
It is quite a lonely place out here (I guess)
In a sense, you are not alone since there are 5 other gals in the house
but then there is this emptiness, like something is lacking
(Sorry I am getting emotional here)
Missed the fellowship in church, the laughter I share with friends, the chats with family and friends

My house is very nice (one of the nicest)
but the location is around some high class area
super expensive!!
I bought 4 apples for 19RMB!!!!
I regretted but I guess no point
It's in my round tummy now!
